DUNTON RECREATION ASSOCIATION: 30 people enjoyed an evening of 60s music last Saturday evening with a buffet and a licensed bar. It has been suggested that there should be more social events. The pavilion and playing field are a village resource for us all to use.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!: It is 5 years since John and Janice came to the March Hare. To celebrate the occasion on Saturday, August 15 there will be an Italian buffet followed by an evening of music. VILLAGE QUIZ NIGHT: Congratulations to Girls Night Out winners of last Sunday’s quiz. The next Quiz in the March Hare is at 7.30pm on Sunday August 16. All welcome. No charge. Just turn up.

DUNTON FOLK:  The next Folk Session in The March Hare will be on Tuesday September 1 and the next concert will be on Saturday, September 19 when the popular local duo Megson return to Dunton.

COME AND SING: Following last year’s success the second Come and Sing will be held at Dunton Church on Saturday, September 26 2015. MEMORIAL HALL: The interior of the building is being completely refurbished. On Saturday, October 3 there will be an Open Day to celebrate the 90th anniversary and the completion of the work. This will comprise of a photo exhibition of old photos of the hall and village, a fun show with prizes and a tea party with refreshments provided by Dunton WI.  It will be held at the hall from 11am to 1pm.  Entry forms are available now from Lorrainebennetts777@btinternet.com , via the Dunton website,  www.duntonvillage.org.uk  or in the Community shop.  Please submit your entry form to the Lorraine by Sunday September 20.
