A search for Dunton on the web shows pictures with the Church and The March Hare. Both are an integral part of the village and it looks good! The pub has been closed since John and Janice retired at the end of last year. Other villages have lost their pub. We don't want that! It has been registered as an Asset of Community Value. which helps to protect it from demolition or conversion into housing. That gives an opportunity for a community group to acquire and run it. We would have a completely free hand to make decisions about what it offers. What drinks, food, activities, etc.
It is hoped that it can reopen and be restablished as a hub of the ;local community.
